Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative for the Front Information Desk at Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, MO. You will greet guests, answer questions, check in vendors, and manage deliveries and lost-and-found items.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on events, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Ability to follow basic instructions and directions.

Responsibilities

  • Provides information about Centene Community Ice Center/St. Louis Music Park programming, events, and concerts to walk-up customers and callers.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding services, facilities, programs, and events.
  • Deals directly with the public in person and over the phone, giving out general information, answering questions, explaining procedures, and gathering facts regarding problems and complaints.
  • Operates computerized public information and reservation systems in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Responds to customer inquiries via telephone, in person, and/or in writing as required.
  • Performs a variety of office clerical support activities.
  • Use the Sparx machine to sharpen skates.
  • Sell items in the Hockey Pro Shop.
  • Keeps supervisor and other appropriate staff informed of problems or other matters.
  • Interpret and enforce ice arena rules for customers.
  • Collect fees and record in software.

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for the Front Information Desk. This is where the Customer Service Representative can be most effective: greeting our guests, answering questions, checking in vendors, accepting and logging deliveries, answering incoming telephone calls, maintaining lost and found items, accepting payment(s) for programs, events, and point-of-sale purchases, and confirming or adjusting (as needed) locker room assignments. The Customer Service Representative also performs a variety of other support for the administration office, staff, and the facility in general.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00.

About The Venue

Located in the heart of the Maryland Park Lake District in Maryland Heights, Centene Community Ice Center and Saint Louis Music Park is an $83 million project funded through a public-private partnership with support from the City of Maryland Heights, St. Louis County, and the State of Missouri. This state-of-the-art facility features four NHL-sized ice sheets, including a covered outdoor rink designed as a multi-purpose venue for concerts, festivals, and other events. The primary tenants and major capital partners of the Centene Community Ice Center include the St. Louis Blues, Lindenwood University, St. Louis Blues Alumni, the St. Louis Blues AAA program, and the St. Louis Lady Cyclones. In addition to on-ice activity that extends beyond hockey, the facility offers sports medicine, therapy, training, and other ancillary medical services through Mercy Rehabilitation in partnership with EXOS Training. Other tenants include TPH Academy, the Pure Hockey retail store, 101 ESPN Radio, and more. The facility also features many food and beverage options, including 314 Social, which strives to be a St. Louis' hockey bar and restaurant by providing a flair to St. Louis favorites; the Schnucks Grab N Go for quick and easy selections; and our general concessions.
