The Customer Service Representative supports the Central Business Office and Outside Vendors to ensure that administrative work is completed in a timely, accurate, and courteous manner. Performs a variety of administrative, support and clerical functions. Resolves administrative issues and inquiries.
Accurately prepares correspondence, documents, forms, reports and completes ad hoc projects/duties in a timely manner, as assigned. Scans information accurately and in a timely manner. Establishes and maintains effective filing systems, provides excellent departmental telephone and reception coverage, delivers and sends out mail in a timely manner, and completes all other assigned clerical functions to ensure efficient operation of the department.|Actively engages in caring behaviors, taking conscious ownership for work and takes a proactive, deliberate, and thoughtful approach regarding work activities. Demonstrates appropriate use of independent judgement and decision making. Demonstrates excellent customer service at all times.|Works with patients, vendors, and hospitals to ensure that insurance information is correct, updating and correcting information as needed, and in a timely manner. Maintains electronic tracking logs as assigned. Maintains confidentiality in accordance with hospital/corporate policies and HIPAA privacy regulations.
• Two years recent customer service experience
• Computer literacy and proficiency
• Ability to multitask and prioritize needs to meet timelines
• Understanding of basic medical terminology
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobPrevious experience in healthcareHigh School Diploma or Equivalent
