Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Contract-to-Hire professional in West Des Moines, IA to handle member calls related to health benefit plans and assist with claims and scheduling. You will document information in systems and coordinate with providers and internal teams.

The role is onsite in West Des Moines, with benefits and opportunities for conversion. You will interact with providers, educate on client plans, and support care coordination for members.

• Must have strong communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to document information accurately in computer systems.
• Experience handling customer inquiries and problem investigation.
• Ability to ask clear, focused questions to identify needs.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from members covered by client benefit plans and identify the type of assistance needed.
• Make outbound calls to members regarding their claims.
• Investigate requests and problems with some assistance from others.
• Intervene with healthcare providers to schedule appointments or connect with internal specialists.
• Educate providers about client benefit plans and contracting opportunities with our company.

Answer incoming phone calls from members covered by our client company health benefit plans and identify the type of assistance the customer needs

Make outbound calls to members about their claims

Investigate requests and problems, with some assistance from others

Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems

Intervene with care providers (doctor’s offices) on behalf of the customer to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists for assistance when needed

Assist and educate providers about the client benefit plan, including contracting opportunities with our company on behalf of the client

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, IA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
