Staff Financial Group is seeking a Customer Service Representative – Product & Systems in Smyrna, GA. This full-time, onsite role requires helping customers by phone, email, and in person while learning our product lines and how components work together.

Customer Service Representative – Product & Systems

Location: Smyrna, GA

Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite

Compensation: $42,000–$44,000 annually

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a well-established and growing distributor serving the HVAC, building automation, and industrial markets, is looking for a Customer Service Representative who enjoys helping customers, learning products, and figuring out what people need.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in customer service, inside sales, counter sales, wholesale/distribution, home improvement, parts, supply, or another product-driven environment.

You do not need HVAC experience. What matters most is having the aptitude and interest to learn a product line, research information, and help customers identify the right products for their needs.

What You'll Do:

• Help customers by phone, email, and in person
• Enter and process customer orders using an ERP/order management system
• Learn the company's products and how different components work together
• Help customers identify products based on their specific needs
• Research products using vendor websites, catalogs, specifications, and equipment information
• Learn how to read product specifications and find the information needed to answer customer questions
• Coordinate with sales and warehouse teams on customer orders
• Track orders and shipments and communicate updates
• Process returns and help resolve customer issues
• Assist walk-in customers with orders and product questions
• Manage multiple customer needs and software platforms throughout the day

What We're Looking For:

• 1+ year of customer service, inside sales, counter sales, wholesale/distribution, retail, parts, supply, or related experience
• Experience helping customers identify or select products is a plus
• Natural curiosity and an interest in learning how products and systems work
• Strong problem-solving and research skills
• Ability and willingness to learn technical product information
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
• Comfortable learning and working across multiple software systems
• ERP, CRM, order-entry, or similar systems experience is helpful

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

You've worked in a wholesale, distribution, home improvement, supply house, parts, industrial, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, automotive, or similar product-driven environment where customers rely on you to help figure out what they need.

Maybe you've worked in counter sales, inside sales, customer service, order entry, a parts department, or a supply house. You don't have to already know HVAC or building automation — we're looking for someone who is curious, comfortable learning products, and enjoys figuring things out.

Experience in environments similar to Ferguson, Motion Industries, Grainger, Fastenal, HD Supply, Lowe's, Home Depot, or other wholesale/distribution businesses could translate particularly well.
