Our client, a natural gas utility, seeks a part-time Customer Service Representative I to support its Santa Barbara office as a Cashier. You will handle payments, inquiries, and routine follow-up while adhering to safety guidelines.

The role requires 0-2 years of customer service experience and strong interpersonal and communication skills. This is an onsite, 20-40 hour/week position with a part-time schedule.

Responsabilités

• Receive payments (cash, checks, or money orders) for services and/or purchase of products.
• Operate company software and hardware to access data on customer accounts.
• Balance cash and checks on hand with system totals and prepare funds for deposit.
• Answer basic inquiries relating to payments and general company programs.
• Refer customers to the customer contact center/telephone for service requests, high bill inquiries, and other CSR/CCR functions.
• Secure all operating and collected funds.
• Perform various monthly clerical office tasks.

Schedule: Part-time, 20-40 hours per week, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Duration: 2-year contract (W2)

Pay Rate: $23.52/hr

Position Summary

Our client, a natural gas utility in Southern California, is looking for a part-time Customer Service Representative I to support its Santa Barbara office as a Cashier. This role manages all aspects of customer service, including answering phone and email inquiries, taking orders, and providing follow-up. It may also require research skills to troubleshoot customer problems. Customers may be internal or external, with requests of varying degrees of complexity. All duties are performed to company guidelines and established safety procedures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
