Job summary

AmeriVet Fox & Friends Animal Hospital in Ruskin, FL is seeking a Veterinary CSR to provide outstanding client service and support daily hospital operations. This role requires clear communication, attention to detail, multitasking, and a genuine desire to help clients and their pets.

Responsibilities include greeting clients, scheduling, payments, processing prescriptions, maintaining records, and collaborating with veterinarians and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary, medical, customer service, or reception experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable answering multiple phone lines in a busy front desk.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and their pets with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude
• Answer phones, respond to client questions, and schedule appointments
• Check clients in and out efficiently and accurately
• Process payments, prepare invoices, and collect balances
• Communicate appointment information, estimates, and hospital policies to clients
• Assist with prescription and food requests
• Communicate with clients regarding reminders and hospital needs
• Maintain accurate client and patient information in the practice management system
• Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, technicians, and other team members
• Assist with medical records and other administrative tasks
• Help maintain a clean, organized reception area
• Handle challenging client situations with patience and empathy
• Protect client confidentiality and follow hospital policies
• Support the entire hospital team and jump in where needed
• Provide a positive experience for every client and patient

Our CSR team is often the first and last impression our clients have of Fox & Friends. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people, loves animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can bring a positive attitude and a little laughter to the workday.

About the Role

The Veterinary CSR is responsible for providing exceptional client service while supporting the daily operations of the hospital. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a genuine desire to help both our clients and their pets.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous veterinary, medical, customer service, or reception experience preferred
• Veterinary hospital experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable answering multiple phone lines and managing a busy front desk
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable discussing estimates, payments, and financial responsibilities with clients
• Professional, dependable, and reliable
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed
• Compassionate and understanding when working with clients experiencing stressful or emotional situations
• Comfortable working around dogs, cats, and the occasional bit of controlled veterinary chaos!

Schedule

Part-Time
Schedule will include weekday and/or Saturday shifts based on hospital needs. Flexibility is a plus.
