Salary Range: $17.31 Hourly

This role is a key team player position reporting directly to the Behavioral Health Customer Service Supervisor in a constantly changing, busy environment that requires accuracy, attention to details, initiative and a proactive approach to duties and responsibilities while working with the individuals in services, clinical team, and coworkers. The qualified applicant must demonstrate a positive attitude, considerable latitude for independent judgment, professional ethics, appearance, and conduct. All interactions with individuals in services and other LifePath staff are conducted in a person-centered, trauma informed way.

Primary Duties
  • Providing quality customer service by checking in individuals as they arrive for appointments.
  • Scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
  • Collecting payment for services.
  • Answering and screening phone calls, taking messages, providing information and transferring to the appropriate person/department.
  • Working closely with community partners to ensure all calls are answered promptly and triaged correctly.
  • Updating information in medical record.
  • Scanning documents into medical record.
  • Mailing letters.
  • Handling other general office duties as needed.
  • Accomplishing other duties as assigned to fit the needs of the programs and individuals served.
  • Supporting all Behavioral Health teams to ensure the needs of individuals are met.
  • Being cross trained in working in multiple settings throughout the clinic and remaining flexible in ability to transition between work assignments smoothly.
Hiring for Shifts

Shifts: TUES & THURS 8AM-5PM

Hours/shifts vary depending on clinic needs/staffing. May be required to report to Plano or McKinney depending on coverage needs and for training purposes.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 3 years’ experience working in a medical office, agency, or hospital with knowledge of scheduling, insurance verification, billing and collections preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge and experience in performing office duties.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be knowledgeable in computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be professional and knowledgeable of customer service skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Medicaid, Medicare, and Private Insurance billing Practices.
  • Proficiency in Data collection, Reporting, Graphs, and Documentation.
