Job summary

Leggett & Platt is seeking a customer service associate at our Lexington, NC on-site location. You will assist customers, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely, friendly support to ensure exceptional experiences. Starting wage is $16/hr with a potential $0.50/hr bilingual bonus (Spanish) and a $0.75/hr shift differential after production scheduling begins.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily troubleshooting and answer questions to return systems to proper operation.
  • Diagnose and evaluate case information to provide repair support and determine if issue is warrantable.
  • Negotiate win-win resolutions with non-warranty customers.
  • Record case details in CRM and document actions taken.
  • Meet daily and monthly performance metrics with a positive attitude.
  • Assist with general customer service tasks such as order placement, parts lookup, payments, and pricing inquiries.

This is NOT a work from home position, onsite location Lexington, NC.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE POSITION

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • A starting wage of $16/hr., additional $0.50/hr differential if you are bi-lingual (Spanish).
  • Potential pay rate increase after 90 days, based on performance and attendance.
  • Shift differential of $0.75/hr. once in production schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide daily troubleshooting to include answering questions, analyzing problems, and quickly forming solutions to return systems to proper operation for warranty and non-warranty customers.
  • Diagnose and evaluate individual case information to provide repair support and determine if issue is warrantable.
  • Being able to effectively negotiate a win-win resolution with non-warranty customers.
  • Record details of cases in CRM, as well as actions taken.
  • Provide amazing service by meeting a set of daily and monthly metrics with a positive attitude.
  • Providegeneralcustomer service functions as required, such as but not limited to placing orders, parts look-up, processing payments, and pricing inquiries.
  • Effectively communicate escalations to next level of authority.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma.
  • Patient, conscientious, and interact with customers in a professional manner with a focus on completing tasks both pleasantly and correctly.
  • Must have attention to detail and strong ability to multi-task.
  • Strong research and documentation skills.
  • Solid problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions and detailed correspondence.
  • Quick to identify problems, form solutions, and execute step-by-step troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office Suite (including Access).
  • Be flexible to schedule changes or additional coverage, particularly during peak periods.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are critical to successful performance in this role.
  • Must be able to sit or stand at a personal computer for a reasonable length of time troubleshooting and inputting information.
  • If you area Bi-lingual candidate, you must be fluent in English and Spanish.

This is NOT a work from home position, onsite location Lexington, NC.

Regular schedule after training is 2nd shift Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 8:00pm.
