Job summary

Timberland Bank in Hawks Prairie is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional service, handle deposits and withdrawals, cash checks, and answer routine inquiries.

You will cross-sell bank products, maintain accurate currency logs, and ensure compliance with regulations while working in a fast-paced branch.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Less than 1 year previous customer service experience.
• Less than 1 year previous cash handling experience.
• Must take/pass entry level teller assessment test within the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Receive deposits: verify cash and endorsements, issue receipts.
• Exchange currency and process withdrawals.
• Answer basic inquiries regarding rates, charges, and account history.
• Cross-sell bank products and services.
• Refer customers to appropriate department for unresolved issues.
• Balance drawer daily and maintain currency logs.

Customer Service RepresentativeDepartment/Location: Customer Service / Hawks PrairieEmployee Reports to: Branch Operations Manager / SupervisorFLSA: Hourly; Non-Exempt positionStatus: Full-Time 76-80 HoursRate of Pay: $18.00-22.00 an hourSummary/Objective: Provides exceptional customer service by actively offering Timberland Bank products and services while performing all essential functions and job duties.Essential Job Functions:Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit.Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices.Process withdrawals.Identify counterfeit currency.Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.Cross-sell bank products and services.Refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.Count and roll loose coins.Issue personal money orders and cashier’s checks for U.S. Savings Bonds.Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts.Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.Ensure teller station is properly supplied.Close accounts when requested.Follow procedures for removing accounts for dormancy.Balance drawer daily.Redeem US.
