Job summary

Sunset Finance in the United States is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support daily loan operations. You will greet customers, take applications, input new and refinance loans, and assist with delinquency work while maintaining accurate cash handling and reports.

Under branch supervision, you will also balance cash drawers, prepare deposits, and communicate with creditors and credit bureaus to deliver timely customer service and reliable financial recordkeeping.

Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

The CSR plays a very important part in the operation of a consumer finance office. The duties of a CSR are to wait on the customers, take applications, investigate credit, take payments, refinance loans, help with the delinquent work, send out advertising letters, and complete other duties. This person must fill out correctly most of the office forms and reports, as well as maintain current the master cash drawer, bank deposits, and related daily transactions.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Working directly under the supervision of the branch manager, the Customer Service Representative:

1. Solicit loans on the telephone and at the counter.
2. Must answer the telephone, post customer payments, input new and refinance loans into the loan software system, process loan applications and prepare refinance and delinquency mail. Answers the telephone.
3. Other duties include: opening mail and distributing, posting counter payments, and giving customer credit experience to inquiring creditors and credit bureau.
4. Completes loan documents and closes current refinance loans.
5. Prepares daily deposits of cash and checks.
6. Maintains and balances correct amount and denominations of money in cash drawers daily.
7. Maintains loan standard report daily.
8. Telephones past due customers

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in customer service, collections, or the finance industry a plus. The CSR must have knowledge of computer skills.

REQUIRED

A high school diploma or equivalence is required.
