Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is looking for a Customer Service Representative to be a primary contact for customers, processing orders and handling inquiries to ensure satisfaction. You will interact with customers on a regular basis, providing timely, courteous support and promoting Graybar goods and services.

The role emphasizes high-quality service, effective communication, and collaboration with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are essential for handling inquiries and follow-ups.
• Demonstrated passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to handle diverse customer situations with enthusiasm and tact.
• 2+ years of experience in customer service or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take inbound and outbound calls and handle written correspondence professionally.
• Enter orders, respond to requests, and provide timely support to customers.
• Assist customers with product selection and apply appropriate pricing and terms.
• Coordinate service requests including order entry, expediting, billing, and claims.
• Contribute to a positive customer experience and promote Graybar goods and services.

Job description

Make a difference. As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a key contact and liaison for customers to ensure their total satisfaction. You will interact with customers on an ongoing basis, entering orders, handling requests and providing support needed in a timely, professional and courteous manner.

In this role you will:

• Ensure every customer experience is top notch in quality
• Handle incoming and outgoing customer calls and written correspondence in a professional, timely manner, ensuring follow up on all customer issues
• Take an active role in selling Graybar goods and services on inbound calls
• Provide support on product selection and application
• Coordinate customer service requests including order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credit and claims

What you bring to the table:

• Strong communication skills
• A passion for customer service
• Ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm and tact
• 2+ years experience preferred
• High School education
• 2 year or 4 year degree preferred

Compensation Details:

The expected rate of pay for this position is $25.80 per hour

Shift Hours and Schedule:

Monday through Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm
