Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Customer Service Representative to greet customers, process sales orders, and manage customer accounts at our Daytona Beach location. You will handle cash transactions, assist with financing arrangements, and collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to ensure a seamless shopping experience.

Flexibility for weekends/holidays is required while upholding accuracy and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service, office, and/or administrative experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk & Customer Service: Greet all customers in a warm, professional manner representing Ashley's brand image.
• Sales Order Support: Assist with processing sales orders accurately and efficiently.
• Customer Account Management: Process customer credit applications and maintain accurate account information.
• Cash Handling & Financial Procedures: Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile transactions.
• Customer Issue Resolution: Address inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating as needed.
• Audit & Compliance Assistance: Support audits, inventory processes, and paperwork accuracy.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain records and prepare routine reports.
• Team Collaboration: Work with sales, merchandising, and store associates.
• Technology & Systems: Use POS systems, retail software, and Microsoft Office.
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management.

Purpose at Ashley:

The Customer Service Representative is the front-line ambassador for Ashley, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for every customer. This position serves as the first point of contact for customers, providing administrative support to store operations whileassistingwith various office functions. The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in building customer relationships and supports the operational excellence that drives Ashley's retail success.

What You’ll Do

• Front Desk & Customer Service: Greet all customers in a warm, professional mannerrepresentingAshley's brand image. Provide exceptional customer service through all interactions including in-person, phone, and email communications.
• Sales Order Support:Assistwith processing sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all required documentation iscomplete,and proper approvals are obtained beforefinalizingtransactions.
• Customer Account Management:Process customer credit applications,assistwith financing arrangements, andmaintainaccuratecustomer account information in retail management systems.
• Cash Handling & Financial Procedures: Follow established cash handling procedures, process payments accurately, and reconcile transactions according to company policies under Office Manager supervision.
• Customer Issue Resolution:Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating complex issues to Management asappropriate whilefollowing up to ensure resolution.
• Audit & Compliance Assistance: Support Management with operational audits, inventory processes, and compliance checks by gathering required documentation and verifying accuracy of paperwork.
• Reporting & Documentation:Maintainaccuraterecords, prepare routine reports, and ensure all sales and office paperworkisproperly completed and filed according to company standards.
• Team Collaboration:Work cooperatively with sales team, merchandising personnel, and other store associates to ensure seamless customer experience and efficient store operations.
• Technology & Systems:Utilizepoint-of-sale systems, retail management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business tools to perform job duties efficiently and accurately.
• Complete anyadditionaltasks as assigned bymanagement

What You Bring
