POSITION SUMMARY: Serve as a point of contact with JE Pistons customers and support sales growth through customer service, marketing support, and order processing.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (the following in only a summary of the typical functions of the job, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible responsibilities, tasks, and duties)

  • Responsible for enhancing a positive customer experience by providing the highest level of customer service and support.
  • Responds to customer Inquiries: Answering phone calls, emails, and utilizing live chat to address customer needs regarding products, pricing, availability, billing, shipping, lead-times, etc.
  • Receive customers via the phone, email, chat and in-person and direct them to the correct individual or department as required.
  • Following up with clients or customers by phone or email to check that they're satisfied with their purchases.
  • Educating clients or customers about additional products or services that might benefit them.
  • Ensures delivery of superior customer service through fast and accurate processing of orders, communication and coordinating with other departments to resolve inquiries.
  • Work Directly with Operations, Shipping, Planning and Manufacturing to properly communicate lead-time and commitments for customers.
  • Handle warranty-related customer inquiries per the direction from the Technical Services Team.
  • Provide phone sales support for all general purchase inquiries, directing orders through the website or preferred partner where applicable.
  • Escalating inquiries and concerns, when necessary.
  • Troubleshooting high level common issues with products or services.
  • Assist in preparing and providing data for customer service-related reports.
  • Updates customer information in ERP system as requested regarding contact information, tax documentation etc.
  • Supports the sales team as needed with all sales operation functions including tradeshow support.

Requirements

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience in working with customers, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two- or Four-year degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields with applicable work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, Strong listening skills, problem solving abilities to resolve customer issues quickly, ability to multi-task, Microsoft Excel, attention to detail, organization. Required to frequently use a computer.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low
  • Personal protective equipment is required including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
