Candidates must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and basic physical assessment, and must be able to work full‑time (40+ hours per week). Working hours are Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, this position is safety‑sensitive.

Summary

Based in Fountain Inn, SC, the Customer Service Representative works with limited supervision for the Production Manager. Responsibilities include order entry, follow‑up, status tracking, invoicing, and daily communication with customers in coordination with sales and other staff.

Essential Job Functions

• Enter customer orders into the computer system, ensuring accuracy of information.
• Review purchase orders and contracts for discrepancies, and follow up with clarifications via phone, email, or other communication.
• Perform customer order follow‑up and status updates.
• Assist with daily invoicing and send invoices to customers.
• Scan job packages daily.
• Work with account managers to ensure quotes are current and up‑to‑date.
• Assist with scheduling as needed or required.
• Assist with customer collections and elevate as needed.
• Promote and practice safety and good housekeeping.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by the position.
• Possibly have access to proprietary and third‑party information; perform duties in an ethical and professional manner.
• Responsible for the care and treatment of customer inventory, safeguarding against loss or damage.
• Maintain punctuality, follow directions, interact effectively with co‑workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
• Respect confidentiality of compensation information of other employees or applicants.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status to satisfy ITAR compliance requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in customer service or a related position.
• Experience with Navision, Sales Force, and SAP software is a plus.
• Experience with customer portals (Ariba, IOL Online, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic computer applications and math.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases.

Physical & Mental Demands

• Work in a sitting or standing position for extended periods in an office/industrial environment.
• Use manual dexterity for data entry functions.
• Flexibility to bend, pull, and reach.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Potential exposure to heat, dust, noise, humidity, fumes, etc.

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
