Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. in Santa Maria, CA is seeking a Customer Service Representative who thrives in a people-friendly, team environment.

You will assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center, use U-Scan tech to manage rentals, move and hook up trucks, and inspect equipment on the lot to ensure safety and readiness. This role includes on-the-job education, a $100 hiring bonus and a $300 cash bonus after certification, plus benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), ESOP, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• May require ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane and drive a forklift (certifications offered on employment).
