This fast-paced role requires using Microsoft Office tools, establishing new service accounts, analyzing payment histories, and coordinating with City departments to resolve issues while upholding safety standards and city policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service role.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to work during inclement weather or city emergencies, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service in phone center and walk-in areas.
• Assist customers in establishing new service accounts, closing or transferring accounts, and addressing inquiries.
• Analyze customer payment histories and arrange payments.
• Issue work orders to City departments in response to requests.
• Process payments for utility accounts and related transactions.
• Operate computers, phones, and internal systems to document interactions.
• Handle high call volume and maintain quality metrics.
• Resolve issues professionally and de-escalate when needed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and City safety standards.
