Job summary

Waterway is hiring a Customer Service Associate at our Vernon Hills location. You will help customers with car wash services, memberships, and retail items, greeting guests and guiding them through the store and pumps. The role offers flexible shifts and opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

Typical compensation is $17 base per hour plus up to $5 per hour in sales bonuses, with an average around $20/hour. Training and advancement opportunities are provided; location: 860 S.

Qualifications

• Be friendly and engaging with a positive attitude and a will to succeed.
• No experience required; experience in customer service, retail, or sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent and timely customer service to create a pleasant experience for customers. Pro-actively greet customers entering the convenience store, pay terminal area, or fuel pumps and be responsive to their needs.
• Effectively present and sell car wash services, memberships, and additional purchase options to customers to achieve sales and revenue goals for the location.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized environment to ensure a positive visit for every customer including outside areas and inside areas.
• Keep convenience store merchandise stocked and organized, displays clean and well presented. Take inventory of merchandise levels as directed by store management.
• Maintain point-of-sale transaction, sales, and cash drawer integrity by following procedures accurately. Use all transaction technology including tablets, payment terminals, and other POS tech.
• Follow Waterway policies, procedures, guidance, and instructions, including those related to safety.
• Perform various administrative tasks, for example making bank deposits, picking up or delivering supplies from other stores or retailers.
• Perform various transactional functions to meet customer demand and store staffing needs.
• Various other functions as identified and directed by management.
