What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services inside and outside the U-Haul center
- Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring proper equipment maintenance
- Clean and inspect equipment, including checking fluid levels
- Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment from customers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in environments with moderate risks and discomforts
- Availability to participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or a retail environment
- Familiarity with moving and storage operations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer inquiries effectively
