Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Customer Service Associate to welcome customers and help them find products and services for home improvement. You’ll engage with customers throughout the day, assist with locating merchandise, and ensure their needs are met in a friendly, efficient manner.

The role may involve loading merchandise, standing for extended periods, and working across multiple departments based on store needs. This is a part-time position with potential for growth and development within Lowe’s.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities to perform job duties.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Stock merchandise by identifying empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise on time.
• Cross-train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
• Prepare merchandise in your department (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
