Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Elkins, WV to be the face of our service and assist customers with rentals, equipment checks, and product information. This role uses U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory and involves moving and hooking up trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities include answering customer questions, preparing invoices, and completing certifications such as propane, trailer wiring, and forklift operation as needed. Training is provided on the job.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including fluids check.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Other duties as assigned.
