Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a friendly Customer Service Representative in Gearhart, Oregon to be the face of our service team. You will assist customers, use U-Scan to manage rentals, move and hook up trucks, and help inspect equipment.

The role includes on-the-job education, two hands-on interviews paid, a $100 hiring bonus and a $300 bonus upon certification. U-Haul offers health plans, retirement options, paid holidays and other benefits, plus plenty of room for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane and forklift operation (certifications offered upon employment).
• Other duties as assigned.
