Job description

Join to apply for the Customer Service - Donor Support Technician role at CSL.

The Opportunity

Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area, and equipment for the pheresis processors. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager.

The Role

1. Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
2. Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
3. Disconnects the donor upon completion of the process.
4. Maintains awareness of donor reactions during or after pheresis and notifies staff accordingly.
5. Uses Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to record incidents, alarms, volume variances, and adverse events.
6. Links equipment and soft goods used in the process to the donor via PDA.
7. Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
8. Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system as per SOPs.
9. Understands policies related to hyper immune programs if applicable.
10. Maintains a clean work environment and ensures supplies are available. Follows HSE and OSHA policies, promoting safety.
11. Maintains confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
12. May be cross-trained in other areas and may require bilingual skills.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Skills And Experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 months’ work experience, preferably in a medical or health environment, or equivalent education and experience.
• Basic math skills required.

Working Conditions

• Ability to follow instructions and observe safety protocols.
• Must be able to see, speak with customers, and observe equipment operation.
• Ability to stand and walk up to 100% of the time, reach, bend, kneel, and perform manual tasks.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to chemicals, temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens.
• Wearing PPE is required in certain areas.
• Overtime and extended hours may be necessary.
