The Opportunity

Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area, and equipment for the pheresis processors.

You will report to the Assistant Center Manager.

The Role

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to donor reactions and notifies staff accordingly.
• Uses PDA to record incidents, alarms, volume variances, and adverse events.
• Links equipment and soft goods to the donor in the system.
• Alerts supervisors of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data following SOPs.
• Understands policies related to hyper immune programs if applicable.
• Maintains a clean work environment and ensures supplies are available.
• Follows all HSE and OSHA policies, promoting safety.
• Maintains confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Your Skills And Experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 months’ work experience, preferably in a medical or health environment.
• Basic math skills required.

Working Conditions

• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Must see, speak with customers, and observe equipment operation.
• Occasionally stand, walk, reach, bend, and kneel.
• Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions.
• Exposure to chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens.
• Wear PPE as required.
• Work overtime and extended hours as needed.
