Job description

This position works closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. In this position, you will also be responsible for delivering products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores in a safe and timely manner using company vans or pick-up trucks.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. The company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business, its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at stores within a 15-mile radius of store #705471, located at 22840 Sussex Hwy, Seaford, DE 19973.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• At least one year experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
• Experience selling paint and related products
• Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish

Sales Responsibilities

• Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent service
• Assist customers in person and over the phone, determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
• Process sales transactions accurately, following policies and procedures
• Achieve sales goals monthly, quarterly, and yearly
• Maintain accurate work order files and formulas
• Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications
• Load, transport, and deliver items safely and timely
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles
• Maintain store vehicle and report repair needs
• Follow assigned routes and schedules
• Comply with traffic laws and safety procedures when driving
• Prepare delivery reports and documents
• Operate equipment such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
