Job description

This position involves working closely with wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. Additionally, the role includes delivering products from Sherwin-Williams stores to customers in a safe and timely manner using company vehicles.

The job entails contact with customers, including minors, and access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other valuables. To ensure safety and security, a review of criminal history is conducted.

The selected candidate will work at a store within a 30-mile radius of #1639, located at 16 Liberty St, Batavia, NY 14020.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Legally authorized to work without sponsorship
• Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally
• Willingness to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
• Experience selling paint and related products
• Multilingual abilities, especially in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent sales service to ensure customer satisfaction
• Assist customers in person and via phone, identifying needs and recommending products
• Accurately process sales transactions
• Meet sales goals regularly
• Maintain accurate work order files
• Pull products from sales floor or warehouse
• Mix and tint products as per customer specifications
• Load, transport, and deliver items safely and promptly
• Assist with loading/unloading and vehicle maintenance
• Follow routes and schedules strictly
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety procedures
• Prepare delivery reports and documents
• Operate relevant equipment and vehicles
