HOURS WORKED: Varies, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Saturday

PAY: City of Tucson Minimum Wage per hour (DOEE)

JOB SUMMARY

The delivery driver acts as a Treasures and More resale ambassador, responsible for delivering furniture purchased at the store and picking up new donations. The driver ensures timely delivery to customers on specific routes, reviews orders before delivery, loads and unloads trucks, and provides exceptional customer service. The driver represents the store and must conduct themselves professionally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Safe driving within the assigned delivery/pick-up area, observing all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate navigation skills, including map reading.
  • Operate effectively in a team environment.
  • Adhere to schedules and be punctual.
  • Maintain the security and upkeep of storage containers.
  • Work at a high pace and maintain focus for extended periods.
  • Perform physical tasks such as driving, sitting, bending, reaching, climbing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, and moving throughout shifts.
  • Require far and night vision for driving.
  • Follow dress code and appearance policies.
  • Assist with light cleaning tasks, like sweeping and mopping, as needed.
  • Help in the thrift store when not on deliveries or pickups.
  • Represent the ministry positively to the public.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Follow the chain of command and accept feedback.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to multi-task and handle busy phones and office duties with a positive attitude.
  • Proven teamwork skills in a multi-faceted agency.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, Gmail, and Google Calendar.
  • Uphold conduct and standards reflecting the ministry's values.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with diverse persons.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and situations, maintaining composure and using common sense.
  • Valid driver’s license and a 5-year motor vehicle record (MVR). For ages 21-25, a clean driving record is required; over 25, no major violations in the past 3 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Personal growth in leadership and spirituality.
  • Criminal history check, FBI fingerprint clearance, and criminal background checks.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • Medical clearance, including drug screening.
  • Completed HR documentation.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., with proper health clearance.
