Job description

The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #3047, located at: 1300A 18th Ave. N.W., Austin, MN 55912. This is a Part-Time job. Starting Pay: $16.26-17.00/hr or based on experience.

This position works closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. You will also be responsible for delivering products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores in a safe and timely manner using company vans or pick-up trucks.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. The company requires a review of criminal history to protect the business, its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• At least one year experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
• Previous experience selling paint and related products
• Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish

Responsibilities

• Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
• Process sales transactions accurately according to policies and procedures
• Achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas
• Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications
• Load, transport, and deliver items safely and promptly
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles
• Maintain the store vehicle and report repair needs
• Follow assigned routes and schedules
• Comply with all traffic laws and safety procedures when driving
• Prepare delivery reports and documents
• Operate equipment such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
