Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work at our Oakland, CA Service Center. The CSR is responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with customers and to assist customers and other R & L employees in tracking and monitoring freight movement.

Our CSR’s use customer retention techniques to ensure customers feel valued and listened to, to resolve their issues, and promote company goals and objectives. Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong communication/telephone skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to deal with potentially stressful situations
• General office and customer service experience
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Outlook and other Microsoft products
• Ability to type 30+ WPM

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive relationship with customers and assist customers and other R&L employees in tracking and monitoring freight movement.

• Conduct daily freight tracing with customers and assist other terminals in freight-related issues.
