Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets is seeking a friendly Courtesy Clerk to join our fast-paced retail team. You will greet customers, bag groceries, assist with carry-out, and help customers locate products while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires strong English communication, positive attitude, and the ability to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training provided, with a focus on exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Friendly, courteous personality with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and follow Vallarta’s six steps of extraordinary service.
• Bag groceries quickly and accurately per Vallarta’s procedures.
• Assist customers with carry-out and locating products in-store.
• Perform price checks and ensure items are returned to shelves promptly (go-backs).
• Maintain store cleanliness, including cart corrals, parking lot, and receiving dock.
• Report safety hazards and assist with spills, cleaning, and janitorial tasks as trained.
