Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service experience helpful; we will train.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle cash accurately.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Ability to stand, walk, stock, and perform routine cleaning duties.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to every customer.
• Respond to and report customer complaints tactfully and promptly.
• Follow all company safety and security policies.
• Identify and eliminate safety hazards; report unsafe acts or conditions to management.
• Prepare required accident/incident reports and immediately notify Human Resources.
• Report to work on time and adjust to scheduling needs as required.
• Operate cash registers and point-of-sale equipment efficiently.
• Handle cash, safe drops, credit card transactions, and check-cashing procedures in accordance with company policies.
• Prepare shift reports and other reports required by management.
• Follow loss-prevention policies to prevent loss of cash and merchandise, including drive-offs.
• Build and remove merchandise displays.
• Assist management in maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds.
