Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a friendly Cashier to join our store team. You will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions on a POS register and keep the sales area clean and stocked.

Prioritize tasks and follow safety guidelines while delivering a fast, courteous checkout experience to every guest. We value basic computer/POS knowledge, good verbal communication, cash handling skills and the ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred.
• Cash handling skills preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a positive attitude.
• Process transactions on a POS register; maintain a clean, well-stocked area; clean and stock merchandise.
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Know and follow safety guidelines and report unsafe situations.
• Establish strong communication with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
