Job summary

The Salvation Army Morehead City Family Store in Morehead City, NC is hiring to assist customers with donations, purchases, and store queries. You will operate the cash register, balance the drawer, and ensure a pleasant shopping experience by helping with pricing and packaging.

Daily duties include maintaining clean displays, assisting with donations, scheduling pickup when needed, and delivering friendly service while upholding store policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required, or equivalent experience in retail.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively.
• Experience operating a cash register and counting change.
• Comfort standing/walking and lifting light to heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Retail store experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ring up sales, process payments, balance cash drawer, and provide receipts.
• Assist donors and customers with loading donations and purchases.
• Maintain clean, organized displays and assist with restocking.
• Answer store phone and provide directions or general information.
• Inspect donated items for policy compliance.
