Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; record amount received.
• Make change and issue receipts to customers.
• Provide refunds or credit memorandums to customers as directed by managers.
• Reconcile cash drawer daily.
• Works with department managers to stay informed about products, services and price changes.
• Answer customer questions about services or products, or refer to a supervisor.
• Handle customer complaints with integrity and refer to appropriate individuals for resolution.
• Provide clerical and secretarial assistance to departments as needed.
• Acts as backup to switchboard operator.
• Maintain a professional appearance and keep the work area neat and clean.
• Other tasks as assigned.
