Overview

The Cashier provides excellent customer service by efficiently and accurately processing transactions at the checkout lane. They create a friendly atmosphere and treat each customer and associate like family.

Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.60 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Passionate about people and committed to customer service excellence.
2. Ability to work as part of a team and interact positively with customers.
3. High standards of integrity and reliability.
4. Successful completion of e-learnings and training programs.
5. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
6. Ability to work a schedule based on store needs.
7. Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

The essential functions include:

1. Promoting a service-oriented company image with courteous and friendly interactions.
2. Working with management and team to build strong customer service.
3. Accurately ringing up items and utilizing training techniques.
4. Verifying identification for alcohol purchases where applicable.
5. Following cash handling procedures and maintaining over/short records.
6. Bagging orders properly and checking for accuracy before customers leave.
7. Reporting problems such as customer inquiries, pricing issues, or security concerns.
8. Controlling shrink through awareness and vigilance.
9. Keeping work areas clean, safe, and orderly.
10. Maintaining cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and productivity standards.
11. Performing other duties as assigned.

Secondary Functions

1. Possibility of being scheduled as Service Clerk or Head Cashier.
2. Returning carts and baskets to proper locations.
3. Assisting in training new associates.
