Job summary

The Smart & Final store in Stockton, part of the Chedraui USA family, is hiring a Service Clerk for the 393 Stockton location. This role focuses on delivering friendly customer service, assisting shoppers, and keeping aisles stocked and organized to support a fast, efficient store.

Responsibilities include price checks, loading assistance, cart retrieval, store cleanliness, and teamwork with the Store Manager and Senior Assistant Manager.

Qualifications

• Read and write English and interact with customers and staff.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with the loading of merchandise into shopping carts and loading into their vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelf for check stand personnel.
• Return go-backs to proper shelves and maintain orderly aisles.
• Maintain cleanliness at store entrance and throughout the day, including restrooms.
