Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking entry-level team members to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to our store's additional services, product handling and customer service.

Team members enjoy interacting with people and delivering above-and-beyond service. You will work with departments across Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral, supporting cart returns, trash collection, cleaning and floor set upkeep.

Qualifications

• Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or equipment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Work with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
