Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks, including cart attendant duties, trash collection, cleaning, and coordinating with service desks and store departments.

This role emphasizes high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to learn across store areas such as Health and Beauty, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, and more.

Qualifications

• Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Can handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending and twisting while handling product or using various equipment.
• Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash in the parking lot, lawn, and inside store.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Collaborate with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
