Sedgwick County is seeking a Customer Service Associate for its Health Department. This role involves direct patient interaction, data entry, and providing exceptional public service. The ideal candidate will assist clients, handle appointments, and ensure compliance with departmental standards. Spanish fluency is essential for assisting clients.

Pay:$16.87 per hour.
Work Schedule: Mon-Wed 8:00am-5:30pm,Thur 9:30am-7:00pm.Fri 8am-12:30pm/12:30pm-5pm,Occasional weekends or evenings

The Customer Service Associate supports the Sedgwick County Health Department and its mission by welcoming the community and providing exceptional public service. This position serves as a vital member of the clinic team by providing direct patient interaction, performing accurate and timely data entry, and ensuring fiscal processes comply with departmental standards. Communicates with the multidisciplinary team to provide competent, culturally appropriate, and customer focused care. Provides Spanish interpretation to Spanish-speaking clients as needed. Employee will provide support during public health emergencies (Activation Level 1).
Provide direct client interactions
Perform accurate and timely data entry
Collect, document and submit client payment information
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must complete Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) IS 100 and 700 courses within 30 days of employment. Must pass Workforce Center English/Spanish fluency testing with a score of 85% for fluency and 70% for office grammar and spelling to be completed after interview.
Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. One-year experience, billing, medical office, and/or customer service environment.
