Job summary

Laundry Capital Co. LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and friendly laundromat environment. You will assist customers with machine use, laundry cards, wash-and-fold orders, and retail purchases on a fast-moving floor.

Strong communication, cash handling, and teamwork are essential. Previous customer service or retail experience is preferred; ability to stand long hours and lift items up to 35 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• Stand for 8+ hours per shift.
• Lift up to 35 pounds.
• Prior customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
• Flexible/open schedule required.
• Professional communication with customers and associates.
• Knowledge of products and upsell opportunities.
• Use of cash register / POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to customers with use of laundry cards, machine selection and operation, retail sales purchases, wash and fold orders and with any other questions or concerns that arise
• Responsible for accurately utilizing the cash register or point of sale computer
• Has a thorough knowledge of the products sold and what they are used for; encourages customers to purchase additional items
• Ensures retail sales items are neatly stocked at all times and communicates with management when inventory or janitorial supplies are running low
• Utilizes log books to report maintenance issues; informs supervisor of unsafe situations
• Maintains a safe environment inside and outside of the store
• Continually walks the floor picking up debris, emptying trash containers, checking bathrooms and performing other cleaning duties as required
