Job summary

Legacy Cooperative in Lakota, ND is seeking a part-time Team Member to join our friendly staff in delivering welcoming service at the register, deli, and floor. You will support daily store operations, handle transactions, and help prepare fresh deli items while maintaining a clean, inviting environment.

Qualifications

• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting customers and ensuring a positive experience throughout the store and deli.
• Handle sales transactions accurately including ringing up purchases and following cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by following sanitation procedures and stocking shelves and deli cases.
• Support daily store operations such as stocking products, rotating inventory, and assisting with opening/closing tasks.
• Follow safety, food handling, and cooperative policies to meet health regulations and standards.
• Prepare, cook, and serve deli items according to food safety standards and daily production needs.
• Work as a reliable team member by communicating clearly and assisting coworkers during busy times.

• Prepare, cook, and serve deli food items according to food safety standards, portion guidelines, and daily production needs.
• Work as a reliable team member by communicating clearly, assisting coworkers during busy times, and being flexible across cashier, customer service, and deli duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• 25- 30% Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the store and deli.
• 10% Complete accurate sales transactions including ringing up purchases, handling payments, processing fuel sales, and following cash-handling procedures.
• 10% Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by following sanitation procedures, cleaning equipment and work areas, and keeping shelves, coolers, and deli cases stocked and tidy.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to learn Point of Sale (POS) systems and business accounting systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 months of experience as a Store Salesperson.
