The Role
As a Customer Service and Warehouse Representative, you'll combinetechnical knowledgewithexceptional customer serviceto help industrial customers find the right solutions for their automation and control needs.This is more than order-taking, or a typical warehouse position—you'll be a problem-solver and trusted resource.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Respond to customers via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and urgency
- Provide assistance with products and technical information
- Prepare accurate quotes and process orders efficiently
- Receive shipments and verify them for accuracy
- Pull and confirm the accuracy of customer orders
- Place items in designated warehouse locations or deliver them to the appropriate recipient
- Prepare orders for shipment and/or load and deliver items on the company truck
- Research product specifications and availability to meet customer requirements
- Build lasting relationships with customers and vendor partners
- Support inventory management and branch operations
- Maintain a tidy, safe work area
- Continuously expand your product knowledge through manufacturer training
- Other duties as assigned or required
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Lift up to 70 lbs from the ground
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including a forklift
- Climb and work from ladders
- Fully squat, stoop, kneel, or reach for extended periods
- Stand for long periods while performing repetitive actions
- The warehouse and office environment is climate controlled, but may involve occasional exposure to dirt, dust, grease, noise, heat, and cold
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Warehouse, shipping, and receiving experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication, as well as the ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions
- Basic electronics knowledge (through education, training, or hands-on experience)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt as needed
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment aptitude tests
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of electrical systems and industrial products
- Familiarity with industrial automation, controls, or electrical distribution
- Customer service or inside sales experience
- Experience in technical sales or industrial supply
- Understanding of product categories: PLCs, drives, motors, instrumentation, etc.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced salesand/or warehouse environment
