Job summary

IES Residential is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to drive sales growth, develop customer relationships, and manage sales activities for our portfolio of residential and commercial services in Texas. You will engage with customers, coordinate with operations and leadership, prepare proposals, and maintain CRM records while pursuing new opportunities and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to support business growth and customer retention.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, prospecting, and customer engagement activities.
  • Meet with customers to assess project needs, discuss products and services, and provide recommendations and solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, estimates, contracts, presentations, and related sales documentation accurately and professionally.
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, estimating, and leadership teams to ensure customer expectations and project requirements are achieved.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer communications, forecasts, and pipeline updates within company systems.
  • Follow up with customers regarding proposals, project progress, service opportunities, and satisfaction concerns.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and operational improvements.
  • Support contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and customer service initiatives to strengthen customer relationships and retention.
  • Participate in networking events, trade shows, community activities, and company functions to promote company services and market presence.
  • Assist in mentoring and supporting entry-level sales personnel as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and sales standards.
  • Maintain professionalism and represent the company positively within the industry and community.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Overview

IES Residential is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, and managing sales activities for company products and services. This role works closely with customers, operations teams, project management, and leadership to identify business opportunities, deliver customer solutions, and support long-term revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales, account management, business development, or related experience preferred.
  • Construction, residential services, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems, sales forecasting, and customer relationship management preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
Physical Requirements
  • Travel as required to support project and operational needs.
  • Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require.
  • Work in a typical office environment, sitting at a desk and performing prolonged computer work, with occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate in person, by phone, and electronically, including on a tablet, smartphone, and other office technology.
  • Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
