Iotron Medical, Inc. is a U.S.-based company with manufacturing and R&D operations in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. We are a leading manufacturer of critical medical radioisotopes for nuclear medicine applications. Our lead product is copper-67, a beta-emitting therapeutic isotope being utilized across North America and Europe. Copper-67 serves as an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) in therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals in both clinical and preclinical research.At present, at least two companies are conducting human studies using this isotope. Iotron is also developing the capability to produce other radionuclides for clinical applications.
About the Role
This is a strategic position reporting directly to the President of Iotron Medical. This role will serve as the central link between company leadership, the manufacturing team, shipping partners, and customers. As copper-67 is a radioactive material with a half-life of 2.6 days, its timely delivery is essential. Therefore, effective communication, time management, attention-to-detail and timely execution are critical components of this role.
The position entails developing and managing a just-in-time distribution system to ensure the reliable delivery of radioactive products to radiopharmaceutical producers in North America, Europe, and other regions.Close collaboration between the manufacturing team based in Saskatoon, shipping and distribution partners, and Iotron’s customers is required.
Customer service is a core aspect of this role. Customer-facing responsibilities include maintaining and expanding our customer base, negotiating and managing delivery agreements, overseeing customer Radioactive Material (RAM) licenses, aligning customer expectations and production schedules, and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in the Greater Boston Area. This is a remote position with occasional travel m required. Iotron is an equal opportunity employer offering competitive compensation and benefits.
Duties of this position include:
·Accurately process customer orders from quote to invoice, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
·Respond to customer inquiries and requests, maintaining a high standard of professional service.
·Prepare courier shipment files, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
·Communicate proactively with customers regarding product availability and delivery timeframes.
·Liaise with manufacturing team, logistics partners, regulatory consultants, and customers to provide accurate shipment and product information.
·Maintain current customer records and forms.
·Stay informed on company products and customer service protocols.
·Adhere to all company policies and procedures, escalating any issues as appropriate.
·Maintain and update internal reports regularly.
·Establish and lead an operational readiness / production delivery and shipment process for the Copper-67 product that emphasizes quality, reliability of supply, communication, and service.
·Excellent project management, budgeting, and scheduling skills for just-in-time products is essential. Working with Hazardous materials and understanding the legal and safety requirements for international shipment.
·Engage with customers on unique customer requirements and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
·Instill a continuously improving mindset and continually adapt and change requirements with the changing regulatory and safety climate.
