This Customer Sales Manager (CSM) position embodies that ambition, owning & being responsible for the refrigerated and frozen categories, with a selling execution of $60M in revenue across two customers: Family Dollar and Dollar Tree. As a vital member of the Value Channel Customer Business Team (CBT), the CSM acts as the liaison between Kraft Heinz and the Customer, leading all selling activities and driving efforts to improve net sales (NSV) and profit (CMA). The role involves building strategic partnerships, delivering revenue and share objectives, pursuing growth strategies, providing category management expertise, and ensuring the implementation of sales plans and shelving objectives.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Effectively partner with the customer, building rapport at all levels to understand their business, marketplace, and foster positive growth.
  2. Achieve New Item Authorization goals, Distribution goals, & Base Business Objectives: Revenue and Share Growth, Authorizations, Distribution, Optimal Shelving.
  3. Own P&L, Revenue Forecast & Trade Balance through promotional revenue objectives by tactic, price point, Drive Period & Selling Event, while implementing Kraft Heinz pricing strategies.
  4. Maintain files and business documentation detailing transactions (promo calendars, authorization lists, etc.).

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • Ability to work autonomously within a CBT framework, planning, organizing, and prioritizing effectively.
  • Proven experience in customer management, account management, or retail sales management for a CPG company managing a book of business over $30 million.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders from customer teams simultaneously.
  • Experience in cross-functional partnership and influence with Customer Service, Customer Excellence, and Category Leadership, proactively bringing insights and opportunities to the customer.
  • Forecasting expertise and financial acumen to plan and understand P&L impacts of distribution and mix changes.
  • Strong customer-first mentality for effective management and selling to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written, verbal, presentation) with negotiation and influence capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proprietary sales systems such as Compass, IRI, Spark, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using syndicated or ambiguous data to develop business plans and influence customer category objectives.
  • Willingness to travel 10-20% to customer locations, including Chesapeake, VA.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a remote-based role, performed from a home office, requiring a salaried, exempt schedule to meet customer and internal expectations.

Physical Requirements

  • Willingness to drive and travel as needed.
  • Operate a computer and view screens for approximately 100% of the work schedule.

Salary Range: $102,100 - $127,600

Bonus: Performance-based, as per plan terms.
