John Crane, a business of Smiths Group, is seeking an entry-level Customer Reliability Engineer to start in a structured training rotation and ultimately support customer sites.
Under close supervision, you will learn mechanical seals, assist with tear-downs and perform basic failure analysis, while building practical reliability engineering skills and customer-facing communication.

Under close supervision, the entry‑level Reliability Engineer will receive proper training that will ultimately place the candidate in‑plant at a customer facility(s). The Engineer directly coordinates, schedules, and participates in work with the customer to comply with the partnership agreement.
Troubleshoots by investigating problems related to product performance and application specific criteria. Makes less complex and routine seal and equipment recommendations utilizing standard engineering judgment and responsibility to resolve customer inquiries. Travel as required to perform duties and work directly with customers.
