Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for soliciting new business and maintaining the existing customer base, covering meat, fish, food processing and restaurant industries for hard material, grease trap services, used cooking oil collection, and repair and maintenance of drains and grease traps.
- Communicating with customers on an ongoing basis to determine if they are receiving proper service, require additional services or equipment, and are overall satisfied with service.
- Meeting with canceled accounts to determine the reasons for cancelation and attempting to recover them.
- Scheduling meetings with customers and setting up cold calls in areas identified by the Division Manager and Location Manager.
- Communicating orally and in writing with customers and all levels of company personnel, including business owners, officers, division management, and staff in various departments.
- Potentially meeting or communicating with city and county inspectors involved in regulation and enforcement of laws related to services provided by the company.
- 75-90% of the day will be spent in the field visiting new and existing customers, depending on daily tasks.
- Preparing customer setup sheets and entering new customer information into the company's routing system.
- Providing daily reports to the Division General Manager and Location Manager.
- Following up on stops with no material picked up to determine cause and whether re-routing is needed.
- Interacting with others in a professional and ethical manner.
- Adhering to department and company procedures.
- Maintaining regular attendance and punctuality, essential for smooth operation.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation; responsibilities may evolve as business needs change.
Requirements
- Travel requirements: 5-90% local travel.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
- 3 to 5 years of experience and contacts in the restaurant/food industry.
- Ability to work independently.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- High school diploma.
Physical Demands

- Travel to customer locations and move throughout customer facilities such as kitchens and areas where grease collection occurs.
- Move materials or documents up to 40 lb.
- Operate computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine, and printer.
- Review documents, organize data, and detect accuracy of information.
- Communicate with customers and co-workers in-person, telephonically, and via electronic devices/email.
Frequently (1/3-2/3)
- Move throughout office accessing files and office machinery.
- Remain in a stationary position for up to 50% or more of the time.
