Job summary

Mettler-Toledo, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager to lead global quality initiatives across our SBU. You will drive improvements in customer experience, reduce warranty costs, and optimize cost of quality. You will own QMS, support NPDI, and collaborate with R&D and service teams to resolve issues.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field, 3+ years in customer-facing quality, and strong SAP QM and data analysis skills. On-site work in Plainsboro, NJ is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in a customer-facing quality role.
• Strong SAP QM, ERP/CRM systems, and data analysis proficiency.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001 standards, audits, and internal audit techniques.
• Experience applying Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (8D, 5-Why, SPC).
• On-site work ability in Plainsboro, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of global quality issues and act as the primary interface for customer quality concerns.
• Manage warranty processes including tracking failed parts, RMAs, and replacements.
• Collaborate with Technical Support and Service teams for rapid issue resolution.
• Monitor and report Cost of Quality and warranty trends to senior leadership.
• Lead root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new product development with Quality by Design and reliability engineering.
• Own and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and audits.
• Partner with suppliers to enhance incoming quality and reliability.
• Foster a Zero-Defect culture with training and awareness programs.

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a dynamic and impactful Quality Manager to lead and elevate the quality standards across our Strategic Business Unit (SBU) worldwide. Reporting directly to the Head of R&D, you will be responsible for driving measurable improvements in customer experience, reducing warranty rates and costs, and optimizing the overall cost of quality. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading resolution of global quality issues and acting as the primary interface for customer quality concerns.
• Managing warranty processes including tracking failed parts, RMAs, and free-of-charge replacements.
• Collaborating with Technical Support and Service teams for rapid issue resolution.
• Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting Cost of Quality and warranty trends, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Leading root cause analysis, CAPA processes, and continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem‑solving techniques.
• Supporting new product development with Quality by Design principles and predictive reliability engineering.
• Owning and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO standards and internal audits.
• Partnering with suppliers to enhance incoming product quality and reliability.
• Fostering a Zero‑Defect quality culture with ongoing training and awareness initiatives.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years in a customer-facing quality role.
• Strong expertise in SAP Quality Management, ERP/CRM systems, and data analysis tools.
• Deep knowledge of ISO 9001 or 14001 standards, audits, and internal audit techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in problem‑solving methodologies (8D, 5‑Why, Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, etc.).
• Experience supporting NPDI, reliability engineering, and quality in product development.
• Experience applying Lean principles to office and operational environments.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Plainsboro, NJ.
