Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Customer Programs Measurement & Evaluation Advisor to lead EM&V impact evaluations across DSM programs, design studies, perform analyses, and translate results into actionable insights for program performance and CPUC compliance.

You will oversee EM&V consultants, manage contracts, and develop EM&V plans for new initiatives, with hybrid work and occasional field travel in California.

Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of EM&V, evaluation, forecasting or related research experience.
  • Experience leading studies and overseeing contractors in energy efficiency programs.
  • Familiarity with CPUC requirements and utility DSM program evaluation methods.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in ongoing energy efficiency program evaluations (process, impact, attribution, market research).
  • Executes energy efficiency studies including process evaluations and billing analysis.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to design evaluations, plan programs, and forecast savings and costs.
  • Supports market assessment studies to inform future energy efficiency efforts.
  • Carries out cost-effectiveness analyses of programs and energy-saving measures.
  • Maintains relationships with stakeholders to share best practices and provide technical advice.
  • Assists in design and methodologies for evaluation studies.
  • Carries out tracking and reporting of energy savings for Lighting and other programs.
  • Analyzes program results and explores opportunities to enhance operations; contributes to regulatory filings.
  • Protects customer data and confidential information with high standards of conduct.

Become a Customer Programs Measurement & Evaluation Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job,

youwilllead and support Evaluation, Measurement & Verification (EM&V) impact evaluations across SCE’s portfolio of Demand-Side Management (DSM) programs. Responsibilities include designing and managing evaluation studies, conducting statistical analyses, and translating results into actionable insights that improve program performance and ensure compliance with California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) requirements. You will also oversee EM&V consultants, manage contracts, and develop EM&V plans for new and innovative programs.

Incident Management Team Expected Participation

Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual’s regular responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Participates in multiple ongoing energy efficiency program evaluations, including process, impact, attribution and market research studies.
  • Executes energy efficiency studies, including several process evaluations, billing analysis and custom impact evaluation.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders, vendors and internal partners to design evaluations, plan programs, and forecast savings, costs and benefits.
  • Supports market assessment studies that are designed to inform the development of future energy efficiency program efforts.
  • Carries out the cost-effectiveness analyses of programs and energy-saving measures.
  • Maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders in order to share best practice, provide technical advice and build bases of influence.
  • Assists in design and methodologies for evaluation studies.
  • Carries out tracking and reporting of energy savings for Lighting, Non-Energy Impacts, and other Energy Efficiency programs.
  • Undertakes the analysis of program results and researched opportunities to enhance operations. Contributes to regulatory filings and responds to data requests.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Seven or more years of experience performing, leading, managing, or overseeing work in one or more of the following areas: evaluation, measurement and verification (EM&V), economic analysis, forecasting, statistical analysis, demand-side management (DSM) programs, or related research and evaluation activities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, economics, data science, engineering, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of California’s energy efficiency regulatory environment, including familiarity with CPUC requirements, EM&V frameworks, market research methods, and/or utility DSM programs.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including managing stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Effectively prioritizes tasks, resolves issues, and manages team dynamics to ensure successful and timely project completion.
Additional Information
  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work andreside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

  • Position will require up to 5%traveling and being out in the field throughout theSCE service territory.
