Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Principal Manager - Portfolio Strategy, Compliance & Systems Enablement to lead the strategic direction for customer programs, drive regulatory compliance, and manage complex budgets. Responsibilities

• Develops the strategic direction and long-term vision for Customer programs and ensures program goals align to SCE objectives.
• Leads a team responsible for the day-to-day execution of strategy that is carried out through program delivery.
• Collaborates and maintains relationships with customers, regulatory agencies, industry partners, and internal departments to ensure program success and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Oversees complex negotiations to protect SCE's and ratepayers' interests while achieving desired program outcomes.
• Accountable for program compliance by interpreting and implementing regulatory decisions, tariffs, and legislation, and proactively adapting to evolving requirements.
• Manages budgets and allocates resources effectively to support program initiatives including funding for customer incentives, technology investments, marketing campaigns, and program evaluation activities.
• Provides guidance, coaching and performance management to team members fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

In this job, you will lead the operational backbone of Advanced Energy Solutions by integrating portfolio analytics, compliance governance, systems modernization, and performance management to enable informed portfolio decisions, reduce risk, deliver customer energy savings and improve business outcomes across Energy Efficiency and Building Electrification and Income Qualified Programs for SCE customers.

Incident Management Team Expected Participation: Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual’s regular responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience managing a team of direct reports and/or project management experience leading customer programs, regulatory, operational, or analytical functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in regulatory compliance, portfolio analytics, performance metrics, financial planning, and systems development
• Experienced providing oversight of a portfolio of customer incentive programs
• Demonstrated success leading managers and senior leaders
• Experience supporting regulatory approval and execution (CPUC).
• Deep understanding of utility regulation, compliance oversight, audits, or governance
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to translate data into strategic decisions, drive process improvements, and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.

Additional Information

• This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
