Job summary

South Jersey Industries in New Jersey seeks a Customer Outreach Specialist to provide financial assistance information and conduct intake at community events and payment centers across the service territory.

The role partners with Energy Efficiency and 811 teams to share USF/HEA, NJ Shares, PAGE and Lifeline programs, while traveling to events as needed and maintaining customer records in CRM/CCB systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience or equivalent work experience considered.
• Basic knowledge of Energy Assistance Programs (USF/HEA) required.

Responsibilities

• Input and process USF/HEA applications in CRM and follow up with customers.
• Document/update customer accounts in the CRM and Customer Care & Billing system.
• Collaborate with Outreach and Energy Assistance teams on targeted outreach initiatives.
• Respond to internal and external requests and support day-to-day activities.
• Travel to events or customer service centers as needed.

The Outreach Department will provide information of the following programs LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program), USF (Universal Service Fund), NJ Shares, PAGE and LIFELINE. They will work alongside various department such as Energy Efficiency and 811 to better bring information to our customers. There are various means of outreach to share information with our customer base including grass roots outreach, partnerships, marketing communications, social media outreach and individualized customer level outreach. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
